WHA BAKE SALE February 13th!

IMPORTANT!!
The WHA Bake Sale has been moved it to the Wilford Hall basement by the Chapel and near the cafeteria. We also are still in need of more bakers:

WHA Valentine's Day Bake Sale
Friday, Feb. 13th
Wilford Hall Medical Center
Basement by Chapel
7 am to 1 pm

Go all out with Valentine's themed goodies like candy, chocolate, and fudge, along with traditional cakes, cupcakes, cookies. Paper hearts, ribbons, and fancy wrapping are all highly encouraged! The cuter it looks, the better it sells!

BAKERS: Please email cgirton@yahoo.com if you plan to bake something. Note that no filled goods are allowed at the bake sale (eg. jelly, creme-filled, etc.) Baked goods can be dropped off Feb. 11-13. Please freeze any goods that will not be sold within 3 days, wrap each individual baked good securely, and include name of baked good and an ingredients list so we avoid any allergy issues. (If using a box mix – just snip off the ingredients list.) Please pick your most convenient drop off-location and remember to call ahead to get drop off instructions and gate entry:

3. Or drop off directly at the bake sale in the Wilford Hall Clinic Entrance on Feb. 13th by 7 am. (Send it in with your spouse!)

VOLUNTEERS: Spend an hour for a good cause and a chance to meet some of your fellow auxiliary members!! We will need two volunteers for each hour of the bake sale. Please sign up below and reply all. Kids welcome!

OPEN POSITIONS.....

Join us in supporting Wilford Hall Medical Center by becoming an active Wilford Hall Auxiliary (WHA) board member.

WHA has several open board positions as we start the new year and is eagerly looking for volunteers to step-up and get involved! Joining the WHA board is a great way to meet new people and have fun!

Secretary
Record and publish meeting minutes, check WHA email account and forward to board members as needed, send correspondence as needed, etc.

Directory/Membership Chair
Keep an up-to-date mailing list of all WHA members and attend briefings to recruit new WHA members, etc.

Newsletter Chair
Consolidate articles and photos into an established monthly newsletter (MS Publisher) and distribute to board members, etc.

WHA's First Service Project on Sat., Dec. 6th

Join us for WHA's first service project of the year! We will be painting Memory Boxes to give to the families of babies who are stillborn or who pass away in Wilford Hall's NICU. Of course, we won't be all work and no play! We'll have plenty of time to relax and chat over a cup of hot cocoa and some yummy baked goods!Memory Boxes are small painted boxes parents can use to store precious keepsakes from their limited time with their baby, such as photos, their child's hospital bracelet, a small article of clothing, or a lock of hair. For many of these families, their memories and the contents of these boxes are all that they have to remember their child.Your children are welcome to attend this event! If you will be bringing your kids, please indicate their ages in your RSVP. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
